Keala Kanae started his first business promoting nightclubs at 18 years old. Refusing to let obstacles stand in the way, he created some fake ID’s for himself and a few friends, printed contracts from the internet, and knocked on the doors of some of Hawaii’s hottest venues before getting his first contract with Venus Nightclub (since closed). This inevitably introduced Keala to the world of sales, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
After eventually hosting concerts and after parties of a few big name talents including 50 Cent, Jin, and others, Keala left the industry to finish college at the University of Hawaii.
While in college, Keala also started a short but successful career buying and selling cars.
After graduating with his BA in Psychology in 2006, Keala continued to sharpen his teeth in sales and marketing in 2007 as a loan officer in the mortgage industry where, despite being recognized among the top talent in his company, the 2008 collapse cut his career short.
In 2009, Keala reentered sales and marketing as an insurance sales man with American Income Life, eventually pioneering their “Child Safe Kit” lead generation system which lead to his promotion to management within just 4 weeks of starting. He went on to consistently be a top producer in his region.
In 2010, Keala began promoting a high-ticket Real Estate Investment education with the since closed, Nouveau Riche, which led him to marketing his business online and had him recognized on nationwide company calls for his production numbers.
In 2012, Keala decided to turn his sights completely to the online opportunity and went from zero to 5-figures per month in just 8 months eventually growing his business to a multiple 5-figure monthly income and becoming a sought after speaker/trainer speaking on stages of as much as 1,800 attendees and quickly being one of the most requested speakers in his organization.
In 2015, Keala partnered with long time friend, Kameron George, to disrupt the “information marketing” space by releasing the highest quality internet marketing training for both existing and aspiring entrepreneurs. That endeavor is now called AWOL Academy and is currently on track to do over $1Million in revenue in it’s first year.
